Support for Covid-19
Feed the hungry
We recognize that hunger is a complex issue. When people face hunger, they often struggle to meet other basic needs as well — such as housing, employment, and healthcare. We are trying to ensure that the elderly and needy children sleeps with food in their stomachs by distributing food hampers especially in rural communities. Philani Maswati Charity is dedicated to feeding the poor and hungry around the Kingdom of Eswatini, empowering the lives of many.
Mobile Soup Kitchen
With our un-ending efforts to support the elderly and needy people of Eswatini, Philani Maswati Charity has introduced a Guest House Initiative at Dvokolwako to help feed the needy. Spend a night for E500 only, to book call (+268) 7619 1944 or donate.
Building old age homes
In 2012 the charity started a multi-million project to build the first old age home in the Kingdom of Eswatini. The Chiefdom of Dvokolwako allocated the charity land and construction soon began. Ten housing units and a stand alone kitchen were designed and constructed to house at least 30 elders with plans to construct a fully equipped clinic once the home was complete. Unfortunately, funding has been a challenge and the project is moving slowly.
Adopt a house
Our main goal is to provide a comfortable life to the aged citizens, who generally can no longer provide some of life’s basics for themselves. In a move to complete our first old aged home we are launching the “Adopt a House” program. We would like to invite YOUR COMPANY to partner with PHILANI MASWATI in participating in the “adopt a house campaign”. We believe that YOUR COMPANY with its colossal network and reputation would be best placed to provide the platform needed to expose the charitable needs of the elderly in Eswatini.
Agriculture and Farming
Philani Maswati Charity Organization has taken drastic strides in bringing in agricultural interventions at community level. Philani has embarked on an initiative to establish agricultural greenhouses in all the four regions of the kingdom particularly the rural and disadvantaged parts in an attempt to compliment the government’s programs. Each region will have two greenhouses, with each expected to benefit at least 700 women through training and skills transfer to guarantee sustainability.
The Green City initiative
Her Majesty the Patron of Philani Maswati has come up with The Green City initiative to provide a food security network in line with Eswatini vision 2022. Philani Maswati intends, building a 600-tunnel agricultural system with 20 separate business units on 35ha land, putting up an Indigenous Chicken Farm occupying 3ha piece of land, erecting a packing house, establishing a processing hub and a Farm Stall where produce would be directly accessible to household consumers and small vendors.
